FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT FLIGHT SCHOOL
Q: WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A PILOT?
A passion for aviation, dedication to becoming a great pilot, and a commitment to following the training process. We will train you to be a great pilot if you possess these traits.
Q: HOW QUICKLY CAN I COMPLETE MY TRAINING?
Ultimately, this will depend upon the pathway you are following. We have full-time student options, as well as 2-3 lessons a month options. Your timeframe to completion depends on your commitment.
Q: WHY IS FLIGHT TRAINING SO EXPENSIVE?
In 2019, the aviation industry generated $838,000,000,000 in revenue.[1] The median pilot salary for 2019 was $130,440 per year.[2] This is not a cheap, quick and easy endeavor. Whether you are doing this for fun, or as a career, you will be operating a complex piece of machinery that demands a precise, refined skillset. The cost of training goes towards making you a great pilot, without cutting corners.

Q: HOW MANY HOURS DO I NEED?
Redcel Aviation believes that “hours” are a poor metric for measuring progress within one’s flight training. Instead, all of our programs are based upon lessons. Successful completion of each lesson means progression within your pathway. This way, you always know exactly what to expect on each lesson, how long it will take you to complete the pathway, and ultimately how much it will cost you.
